The Winnipeg Goldeyes gave up nine runs in the fifth inning in a 9-3 loss to the Trois-Rivieres Aigles Monday night, dropping Winnipegs record to 1-4 on this 10-game Can-Am League road trip. After walking David Cooper and getting a fly out to start the inning, Osuna gave up a hit that scored Cooper and walk, which was his fifth of the outing. Gabe Aguilar came in to replace Osuna and gave up four straight hits to the Aigles before an error was made at second by Moesquit. Aguilar surrendered two more hits, a walk and a sac fly before getting out of the inning. In all, Trois-Rivieres sent 14 men to the plate in the fifth inning and scored the nine runs on seven hits and two Winnipeg errors. The Goldeyes added a run in the eighth inning when Moesquit singled in Casey Haerther. Moesquit, Haerther and Ray Sadler each had three hits for the Goldeyes, who left 12 men on base in the contest.
